About StrollerScoop
StrollerScoop is a small, independent website that helps parents in Europe choose a stroller, pram or travel system. The name says what we do: we dig up the facts that matter – weights, folded sizes, wheel sizes, child-weight limits, car-seat compatibility – and put them side by side so you don’t have to open twenty product pages.
Why a European stroller site?
Much of the stroller content online assumes American roads, American car seats and American prices in dollars. European parents have different questions:
- Will it handle cobblestones in an old town, or gravel paths in a park?
- Does it fit through a narrow apartment door, a lift or the aisle of a regional train?
- Can it go in the cabin on a short-haul flight, or will the airline gate-check it?
- Which i-Size infant car seats fit, and do I need adapters?
- Is it sold in my country, and what does it cost in euros?
We focus on brands you can buy from EU brand shops and retailers, use metric units throughout, and refer to the European safety standard for pushchairs and prams, EN 1888, and the UN regulation for child car seats, R129 (i-Size).
Who writes StrollerScoop
Articles are published under the byline StrollerScoop editorial team. Drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. The editorial team then checks every product fact against primary sources: the manufacturer’s specification page, the user manual, standards bodies such as CEN and UNECE, and official airline pages for travel advice. Each article shows the date it was last checked and lists its sources.
What we will never claim
We do not test strollers hands-on. We don’t claim to have pushed a stroller over cobbles, folded it with one hand at a bus stop or measured it with a tape. When an article describes how a stroller handles, it is based on the manufacturer’s published design features (wheel size, suspension, tyre type) and we say so. We don’t publish star ratings or review scores.
If a fact can’t be verified – for example, two official brand pages list different weights – we tell you, and we flag it for re-checking.
How we choose what to cover
We start from the questions European parents search for most – best lightweight stroller, best travel stroller for flying, best double stroller – and build a shortlist from widely sold EU brands. A product earns a place because its published specifications match the job, not because a brand asked us. See how we research for the full method.
How the site is funded
StrollerScoop may earn money from affiliate links in future. Right now we have no affiliate accounts: links that go through /go/ simply lead to the brand’s homepage. If that changes, the affiliate disclosure will be updated first. Brands cannot pay to be included or to change what we write.
Corrections
Manufacturers update models and specifications regularly. If you spot something out of date, please tell us through the contact form. We will check the official source and correct the page, noting the date of the change.
